Venterra Group targets offshore wind data inefficiencies with new V-Data platform
Tuesday 16 June 2026, London: Venterra Group, the offshore wind services company, has launched V-Data, a cloud-based platform that gives offshore wind project teams direct, real-time access to their metocean measurement data, replacing the fragmented manual workflows that continue to create risk and inefficiency across development campaigns.
V-Data has been developed by Partrac, Venterra’s specialist metocean and seabed consultancy, drawing on more than 20 years of operational experience delivering measurement campaigns for some of the world’s largest offshore wind projects.
The platform addresses a persistent problem in offshore wind development: multi-year measurement campaigns generate substantial volumes of metocean data, yet project teams have routinely depended on disconnected files, manual transfers and fragmented reporting to manage it, introducing delays and traceability gaps at the point where reliable data matters most, from design and consenting through to investment decisions.
V-Data brings datasets, metadata and operational reporting together in a single platform, with direct API integration into existing project workflows, automated data pipelines and quality-controlled data managed throughout by Partrac’s own metocean specialists. Its API-enabled structure also makes it easier for project teams to apply machine-learning and AI tools to their data, supporting faster analysis and insight generation.
Sam Athey, Managing Director of Partrac, said:
“The measurement technology in offshore wind has advanced enormously, but the way data actually gets into the hands of the people who need it has barely changed. Project teams are still dealing with email attachments, manual handovers and spreadsheets when they should have direct, live access to quality-assured data. V-Data is our answer to that, built by people who have run these campaigns, for the people who depend on the data.”
Partrac has delivered metocean measurement campaigns for major offshore wind developments including Dogger Bank and Moray West. V-Data is available now. The Venterra and Partrac teams are showcasing the platform at Global Offshore Wind 2026.
