Launch of New Member Company, Naver Energy
Date: 2022-09-06
Venterra Group Plc, the offshore wind energy services business, today announces the launch of a new member company, Naver Energy, to support windfarm developers with project management services.
Venterra was formed to create a global services champion supporting the offshore wind industry’s rapid expansion and leading role in the energy transition. It is building a service offering across the windfarm lifecycle, comprising Engineer, Build and Support services through a combination of acquisition and investment to generate accelerated growth in the fast-expanding market. To date, Venterra has acquired seven specialist member companies and Naver Energy is its first start-up venture.
Based in Denmark, Naver Energy is launching today with eight founding partners led by Henrik Stamer who has 17 years’ experience in the offshore wind industry. The other seven founding partners, also Denmark based, are senior executives with over 100 years’ cumulative experience in the offshore wind industry. The team plans to grow to over 40 people in its first year and offer services for project management, engineering management and procurement. Its differentiated delivery structure will work hand in hand with clients through the development process, with the service flexing in line with key project milestones. This approach will enable developers to accelerate project delivery while minimising at risk development expenditure by leveraging highly experienced resources within Naver Energy.
Naver Energy has immediate capacity and experience to offer these services to clients in the UK, EU, US and Asia.
Rob Jewkes, Venterra’s Chief Executive Officer, said; ‘As well as making acquisitions we have always been open to creating new ventures with a compelling business case. We identified Henrik and his partners as a team able to deliver a fresh proposition in this critical area. The growing volume of new windfarms worldwide requires experienced project management skills to protect the investment developers are making in the sector.’
Henrik Stamer, Naver Energy’s Managing Director, said; ‘Naver’s team has the experience to help developers project manage through the critical early planning and design stage into construction. With Venterra’s backing we are accelerating our own growth to offer clients an immediate, fully resourced service wherever projects are located. It is exciting to be part of a new group with a vision to enable offshore wind to play its part in the energy transition.’
Paul Doherty, Executive Vice President of Engineering at Venterra Group, said; ‘Naver is the latest addition as we grow a comprehensive suite of services in the early phase Engineer offering. It joins GDG, Ordtek, Partrac and INSPIRE Environmental so together we now offer project management as well as all the data, site surveying and analytics expertise needed to get a wind farm project on the move.’
