Appointment of Tjada D’Oyen McKenna as Non-Executive Director

Venterra Group Plc, the offshore wind energy services business, today announces Tjada D’Oyen McKenna is to join its Board as Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 September 2023.

Tjada is Chief Executive Officer of Mercy Corps, a leading humanitarian relief organization operating around the world, and previously she was Chief Operating Officer of Habitat for Humanity and CARE.

Her career has a unique blend of experience in operational leadership across the government and not-for-profit sectors, and she brings extensive experience in policy development, community and environmental impact around the world. Following a private sector career that began at McKinsey & Company and focused on agriculture and financial services, Tjada has spent more than a decade working to end world hunger in roles with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the U.S. government. During the Obama administration, Tjada served as Deputy Coordinator of Development for Feed the Future, the U.S. government’s global hunger and food security initiative, and also as Assistant to the Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Food Security in Washington, D.C.

Tjada has a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
She joins Venterra’s Board of strong, senior business leaders in non-executive positions, to help guide the company on the delivery of it’s mission to support the offshore wind industry play its vital role in the energy transition.
